"Old times there are not forgotten"
How safe is the personal information stored on the website?
About as safe as the information published in a newspaper, a telephone book, your public records at the courthouse or information you provided a professional directory. A class directory has been published and handed out at past class reunions and no known harm has come from that. However, the example of the class directory is somewhat different from the website in that those directories were given to known persons with a vested interest in possessing the information. The information on the website is not as secure as the information stored electronically at your bank or in your social security account but is at least as safe as having your e-mail address forwarded to unknown recipients as a piece of information within a list that includes other e-mail names.
But we have not overlooked security. Because burglars are by nature lazy people, we have compartmentalized a lot of information that could more readily be presented on open, continuous listings. To restrict access to the website to subscribers would mean locking out classmates we hope to connect with and friends of the class.
