Mr. James Elias Kilpatrick

Mr. James Elias Kilpatrick, 63, of Dalton, departed this life Wednesday morning, March 19, 2003 at his home.

Mr. Kilpatrick was born March 4, 1940, in Union County, N.C., a son of the late John Fred and Edna Mae Hall Kilpatrick. His brother Johnny Kilpatrick, also preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Maddox Kilpatrick of the residence; sons and daughter-in-law, Michael and Teresa Kilpatrick of Chatsworth; and Steven Kilpatrick of Dalton; daughters and sons-in-law, Sherrie L. and David Waters and Melissa and Andy Freeman, all of Dalton; grandchildren, Brittani Sherleen Waters, James Adam Benjamin Waters, Rachel Ann Leon, Monica Beiling, Letasha Kilpatrick, James Steven Kilpatrick and Stephanie Kilpatrick; great-grandchildren, Diego Leon and Austn Leon; sisters Athelee Worley of Dalton and Vivian Payne of Monroe; several nieces and nephews. Services are Friday at 2 p.m. in the Calhoun Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with the Rev. John Meadeor officiating. Burial will be in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Resaca.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today after 3 p.m.
