James Booth
HUNTINGTON - James Griffin Booth, 60, formerly of Beckley, died Sunday, July 2, 2000, in a Huntington hospital.
Born November 29, 1939, in Beckley, he was the son of the late Whitten Monroe and Mary Elizabeth Nugen Booth.
Mr. Booth last worked as a radio equipment installer and had been disabled since 1976. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Beckley and was a member of Beckley Masonic Lodge #95 A.F. & A.M. He had been a resident of Huntington since November 1996.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, William Whitten Booth and Carson Booth.
Survivors include his wife, Janie Taylor Booth of Beckley, a son, Steven James Booth and his wife Sue of Hindman, Kent.; two daughters, Donna Michele Deaton and her husband Greg, of Chesapeake, Ohio and Elizabeth Carol Church and her husband, Jason, of Fort Knox, Kent.; a brother, John Booth and his wife, Harriett, of St. Albans, four sisters. Violet Stover and her husband, Dean, of Macon, Ga., Dorthy Rollins of Seminole, Fla., Edith Callahan and her husband Jim, of Silver Hill, Fla., Anna Herman of Brookeville, Fla., six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel, Beckley, with the Rev. Ronnie Stapleton officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley.
Friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Beckley Masonic Lodge #95 A.F. & A.M. will serve as pallbearers and conduct masonic graveside rites.
