Loretta Eileen Bays
Miss Loretta Eileen Bays, 55, of Daniels, died Thursday, May 18, 1995 in a Beckley Hospital, following a short illness.
Born January 10, 1940, in Charleston, she was the daughter of Hettie Lantz Bays of Beckley and the late I. Wilbur Bays.
Miss Bays was a 1958 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, attended WV University and was a graduate of Marshall University. She was employed by the West Virginia Department of Vocational Rehabilitation, where she served as a counsellor until her retirement in 1984.
Other survivors include two sisters, Loreta Rossmeyer of Beckley and Mrs. Richard (Linda) Cooper of Flat Top Lake; three nieces, Dr. Lisa Rossmeyer Wade of Memphis, Tenn., Lori Rossmeyer Cobb of Kansas City, Mo. and Laura Elizabeth Cooper of Flat Top Lake; a nephew, Thomas Richard Cooper III; two great-nephews, Marshall Wade of Memphis and Wesley Cobb of Kansas City and a great-niece, Meredith Bays Wade of Memphis.
Services will be 3 p.m.Sunday at Melton Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Frank Bourner officiating. Interment will follow at the Serentity Chapel of Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Beckley.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. until time of the services Sunday at the funeral home.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
