Our visit to Mongolia was my first. I had received second and third hand advice that I would have trouble with their food and hotels. This turned out to be poor advice.Mongolia is a meat and potatoes kind of place because their short summers are not long enough for many vegatables to grow. The food in Mongolia was very good. The hotels in Mongolia were like western hotels all over the world.
Even though the people look somewhat like Chinese, they have patterned much of their culture, including their alphabet, architecture and style of dress after Russia.
